Horlicks sweeties
When I was a little girl, just after the war, money and sweeties were in short supply, but my Mother used to buy Horlicks sweets for us to have when we went to school.
They were really lovely and stuck to your teeth, but they certainly made you feel good and were as good as having a biscuit or sandwich.
I used to get two if I was doing sports or gym to give me extra energy as my Mother said they were 'full of goodness'!
I'm retired now, but still have my daily horlicks, chocolate light is my favourite, it's a lovely warming drink on a cold morning up here in the North of Scotland.
I'd like to know if I can still get the sweets as they'd be great to keep in your pocket.
