Walking with the wounded Everest 2012
Horlicks The explorers' companion since 1873. Founder William Horlick created a nutritious drink that’s not only been loved by the nation's families, but trusted by some of the world's greatest explorers too.
That’s why it’s with great pride that the makers of Horlicks are supporting seven of Britain’s injured servicemen as they take on their challenge of a lifetime and climb the world’s highest peak, Mount Everest, in May 2012.
Walking with the Wounded raises money to help re-educate and retrain the UK’s wounded soldiers as they adjust to their life-changing injuries. After the success of the North Pole expedition, Mount Everest seemed the only way up for this brilliant charity.
The team at Horlicks are currently working closely with the Everest Team to develop a specifically formulated expedition blend that will contain all the 12 essential vitamins and minerals that you find in a mug of Horlicks which the team can enjoy along the way. As well as a lovely mug of Horlicks, the Horlicks team are also developing other Horlicks treats for the team to enjoy.
In such conditions, it is important that their nutrition needs are met.
The team at Horlicks will also be ensuring the team ‘feel at home’ on their expedition by facilitating messages of support from their friends & family.
Support their journey and donate £5 by texting WALK to 70777*.
