If you look good and are healthy, then you feel good too! Getting enough sleep can have a huge positive impact on your mood and emotional state, setting you up for the day ahead and getting you off to a flying start.
Lack of sleep has often been shown to increase moodiness and irritability; people who suffer from insomnia can often suffer from depression too. Even if you don't suffer from insomnia, you're certain to be familiar with that lacklustre feeling of lethargy after a bad night's sleep.
Exercise & Sleep work together. Because lack of sleep can lead to poor coordination and balance, we are less able to do things like exercise. Enough sleep can have the opposite effect and give us lots of energy for exercise, leaving us raring to go. In turn, exercise itself is good for mood and for sleep so it's big benefits all round!
Take a look at the Good Day Guide for more on how sleep can help you get the most out of your days and how what you do during the day can help you get the most out of your sleep!
